About Us
The News Engine is an independent, automated global news digest. We help readers keep up with what is happening in the world by bringing together reporting from established publishers into short, clearly sourced summaries.
What we do
Every hour, our system checks a curated list of public news feeds from reputable organisations. When several outlets report the same event, we group their coverage into a single story so you are not shown the same news ten times. Each story page gives you a concise summary, why the development may matter, key details and — always — a prominent link to the original reporting.
What we don't do
- We do not republish full articles. Our summaries are brief and every one credits and links to its sources.
- We do not bypass paywalls, logins or technical restrictions, and we respect publishers' robots.txt rules.
- We do not invent facts, quotes, figures or events. If there is not enough reliable information to summarise a story well, we don't publish it.
Who writes the stories?
Summaries are produced automatically by our software and published under the name of our newsroom desk. The original journalism belongs to the publishers we link to — please support them by reading their full coverage. Our methods are described in detail in our Editorial Policy.
